User Permission based on Hierarchy

How to set up User Permissions so that an Employee can see their own Expense Claims as well as those of people who report to them?

 

Answer:

You may set up who each employee reports to in the Employee master. The Employee hierarchy is generated based on the Reports To that are set.

  • Also, when a User is linked to an Employee, it makes a User Permission like this. According to this User Permission, the Employee will be able to look at both the documents he or she made in the HR module and the documents that were made for Employees who report to him or her.

 

  • This setup lets Kenneth see an Expense Claim that a User reporting to Kenneth is making.

 

  • Can you kindly make sure that the Employee ID of the senior is updated as Reports To in the Employee’s who report to him or her? After that, the manager should be able to see the Expense Claims and other documents (such Leave Applications, Appraisals, etc.) that his or her subordinates have made.
